Location: Muskoka, Ontario
Client: The Donnelly Family
Service: Foundation wall crack injection and sealing
Problem: Repeated water seepage through a visible foundation wall crack
The Donnelly family’s Muskoka property, a year-round lakeside cottage, began to experience minor basement flooding each spring. A single, diagonal crack along the poured concrete foundation wall was identified as the culprit. During heavy rain or snowmelt, water entered through the crack and soaked the basement floor, leading to mold growth and water-damaged items.
Because the property is surrounded by sloped land and has no exterior access on one side, an interior repair solution was needed that could stop water infiltration without excavation.
Direct Waterproofing performed a high-pressure polyurethane injection, a fast and non-invasive method to seal active foundation leaks from inside the home.
Scope of Work:
The injection fully sealed the crack and eliminated water seepage even during the heaviest spring melt. The basement remained dry, and the family was able to clean, refinish, and reuse the affected area with confidence.
“We were skeptical that something this small could cause so much water. But after one quick visit from Direct Waterproofing, the problem was gone. Great team, great work.”
