We had a great experience with Direct Waterproofing. We contacted Terry on January 5 and he came out the very next morning to assess a foundation crack in our 1980s home. He provided a detailed quote later that same day.

Despite very cold weather and snow to clear, Thomas and John completed the repair on January 19 after the utility lines were marked. They did a great job and left the area clean. Terry provided photos taken throughout the repair and a lifetime warranty.

We also used Direct Waterproofing in 2024 for a window well drainage repair and another foundation crack with the same high-quality service. Highly recommend.

Direct Waterproofing company was amazing. From the 1st interaction, where Greg came to see my basement leak issue, to final day when it was completed. Greg was able to provide a quote right after he inspected the outside and inside the house. Their price was very competitive. They arranged for the "locate service" by City of Toronto. They came when they said they will come. When they discovered that what was under the porch was not what they at first thought, they quickly came up with a second solution, that was still close to the initial quote. The whole activity was lead by Terry. I don't know who the initial crew was, but second crew was Roman and Walter. They worked very hard, and were super careful and tidy. They dug over 25 feet around the front and side of the house, waterproofed the foundation, added weeping tile and cleaned up really well. They also dug a big hole for a sump pump in a tiny space of the furnace room corner without any issues. Now you can't even tell there is a sump pump there. Terry also came a few days later to do some touch ups! They were awesome! I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a great experience and good workmanship!

It was a challenging job, as they had to undermine our back extension and work in a narrow alley with little room to move. They were professional, polite, skilled, and hard working. Highly recommend.

This company is FANTASTIC. Terry and his team worked so hard every day. And to finish the job, they returned on the weekend. His team members are strong and physically fit. Terry returns all calls promptly and explains everything respectfully and comprehensively. I recommended them to a friend and she found the exact same thing. The team ensured that everything was correctly sealed and effectively repaired the leak. Even with the intense downpour, my basement is now totally dry. The fact that they cleaned and organised everything afterwards is the finest part. I heartily suggest them for any leaky basement problems!

I don’t typically write reviews but I’ve had a few experiences with Direct Waterproofing now and wanted to call Terry and his crew out for their great work. They are efficient, clean, and Terry is very communicative and responsive.

DW completed the exterior and partial interior waterproofing on our semi and they were very respectful of the space in always keeping it tidy and clean. And it was nice to have people show up when they say they would and finish on time. Shortly after, we had an issue with dampness in our basement and Terry came out immediately to check on the issue (turned out it wasn’t related to the waterproofing). So when it came time to filling the cement in, I didn’t hesitate reaching back out to Terry versus looking for a different company to do the work. They were able to fit the job in shortly after I reached out and they’ll be coming by again to help reroute my sump pump line. All in all, I wish all other contractors were as responsive and easy to work with as Terry.

I had a water leakage issue in the basement after every rain for the last 2 years, but never found the root cause. This time I contacted Direct Waterproofing. Terry came in and checked and provided in depth plan on how to fix the foundation crack issue from outside. He was continuously in touch with me all these days and made me feel confident with the choice of solution seeing the cost involved (C$2000). And today, TERRY and his 2 very hard working team mates, JOHN and THOMAS, came in and dig the whole soil almost 7-8 feet, did all the treatment and re-filled everything in just 8 hours. I was there watching the whole process, and I can say I felt very satisfied with the hard work they put into this project. The price was worth it, but most importantly I got peace of mind now. I would highly recommend Terry and his team for any waterproofing work. They are very genuine and will not try to sell you unnecessary services. And they also give 25 years warranty.

Terry from Direct waterproofing is one of the best professionals I've met. And I don't say it lightly. We needed a sump pump and backup battery pump + discharge pipe.
Terry took the time to brainstorm ideas on where the discharge pipe should go so we don't cycle back the water into our sump pit.

Before installation he took out a lot of garbage that was in the sump pit. He took out plant roots that had grown from underground.

Terry not only installed both pumps and a discharge pipe but came twice and made sure we got everything needed to receive the city rebate.

After each work was done he took the time to clean the debris as well. This is what I call a true professional. You can tell pretty quickly that Terry really cares about the customer. Would highly recommend. 5 stars!

Thank you to Terry and his wonderful team at Direct Waterproofing . They fixed our water issue in the basement with amazing professionalism. They got the job done and was finished in a very good amount of time . They made sure everything was tidy and finished right . The cost was also reasonable . As you know when you have water coming into your home it can be very upsetting, but Terry was very reassuring and made the process very easy and positive .

So happy to be able to write another 5 star review for Direct Waterproofing! The team had done some some work for me a couple of years ago (basement inside waterproofing and installing a sump pump - which has been working fabulously!) and while they were here, they applied some concrete parging around my home to seal the area between the foundation and the bottom of the home. Due to weather it had cracked a bit and when I called Terry to see if they could come back and seal it again he was more than willing to help! Although this is a very busy season for them, Terry himself came and did the job. He was so pleasant and thorough and now everything is sealed up before the winter. And … he did it free of charge! I’m very impressed with Terry and his team. Would highly recommend! Thanks!
