Direct Waterproofing recently completed a comprehensive exterior waterproofing project for a home in Toronto that had been suffering from recurring leaks and moisture buildup in the basement. 1. Site Inspection:
We performed a detailed inspection of the foundation and identified several cracks as well as drainage issues around the property.
2. Excavation:
Our team carefully excavated around the foundation down to the footings to expose the problem areas and prepare for waterproofing.
3. Crack Repair:
We sealed all visible cracks in the foundation using high-grade epoxy injections to prevent water infiltration through the damaged areas.
4. Waterproof Membrane Application:
We applied a durable, flexible waterproof membrane to the exterior walls of the foundation, providing an impermeable barrier to keep moisture out.
5. Installation of Weeping Tiles:
We installed new weeping tiles along the base of the foundation to improve drainage, redirecting water away from the home and reducing hydrostatic pressure on the foundation.
6. Backfilling:
After all waterproofing elements were in place, we carefully backfilled the excavation with soil and ensured proper grading to guide water away from the house.
This Toronto home is now fully protected from future leaks and basement water damage, with improved drainage and a strong waterproof barrier around the foundation.
